I don't necessarily ascribe to this idea that just because a guy pastors a couple hundred folks out in the sticks gives him any authority over anyone. We should respect all people and should respect elders but this man was probably asking for it.

On the contrary, this Pastor is usually not responsive to the personal choices of the saints but he does speak up concerning things that others may view as controversial. He usually starts the day with a topic and actually INVITES PEOPLE to chime in. He gives place for other leaders and other saints who just have a view point. It's refreshing to see a leader that is open to that kind of dialogue.
