At least that's fair.

Re: Why was my Christianity in Question?
This has been a very entertaining topic. i see i wrote my first post seriously and some of you have been funny since.
By the way can I have a ho ho too.
I do not see any judges here as I thought someone might tear my first post apart but you all were silent.
I am curious as to why nobody commented on my first post on the first page,
Is it because I am new here????
I will not take offense if you make some kind of wise crack.

In 2005 it was discovered that Gov. Taft -Ohio was stealing money from the states workmen comps fund. He and his buddies stole $200 million from it.The Gov. only got a $50 fine while some of his buddies went to jail.
This money went to get Bush and many other Republicans reelected in 2004.
It was used to buy coins, wine and houses in Florida to vaction in.
I felt it was time for a change. In 2006 I stopped voting a straight ticket.
i mix it up.
Some messes take longer than 4 years to get out of.
Since 2001 Ohio has lost 500,000 jobs, only Michigan beats that number.
As a christian I ook at many things when I vote, i gave the guy a chance-
Obama. i will not vote for him again.
I voted the way I felt was right for me.
Before you reply I could say the same thing about the republicans that some say about the voter that votes for democrates.
But I have not. A deeply disturbed voter.

Sorry, even though I did not directily comment as in quoting you...etc, I actually did come back to discuss some of the matters you presented in your response. Firstly, thank you for responding! Now, I hear you loud and clear. I even agree on many points. I don't share your view on not voting for Obama again. I will, unless something comes along to change my mind, and whatever is said in here...is WHATEVER. Our nation was a mess LONG before Obama got in office. It'll be a while before things straighten out, and sometimes its worse before its better. I'm willing to give him another chance and that's MY CHOICE. God bless America, please. lol

If I went to a doctor and was sick, If he blamed it on the previous doc doing wrong and offered no cure just blame on the previous doc, I wouldn't give him a second chance.
Obama has fixed nothing. His koolaid drinkers want to drink koolaid 4 more years. People want jobs. Obama's minions want rhetoric and not results.

Re: Why was my Christianity in Question?
This post no longer has anything to do with the inital question. It's become much of the same...Obama bashing and other stuff.

Re: Why was my Christianity in Question?
My father-in-law was a good man. He loved the Lord.
BUT
he was a strong union man
and a strong Democrat.
He was a lot like the tv character Archie Bunker (for those of you old enough to remember Archie)
One time he told me, "I'd vote for a N..... If they ran him on the Democratic ticket." Well, he didn't live long enough to see it happen but he would have voted for BHO based on his party even though he would have not liked the idea of an African American as President.
I did not agree with his politics or his prejudices but he was a good Christian man.
Actually, I wonder how a person can vote for some of the candidates,
but I do not question their Christianity.

Re: Why was my Christianity in Question?
I might not question their Christianity on the first vote, but after seeing many of these people for what they are (Godless, atheistic, anti-Christian, pro-death zealots), all subsequent votes for them cause me to question the depth of true religion in the voter.
The fact is that Obama had a history before he ran for President. However, many people did not choose to investigate him at all. When he was in the IL legislature, he voted 'Present' on a substantial number of bills. He rejected and opposed vigorously bills that would preserve the life of a child who was born alive in at an abortion clinic. He was implicated in the Tony Rezco scandal that brought down the IL governor and other Chicago politicians.
He has been less than honest about his views on gay marriage. He very quietly and subtlely promotes it via backdoor policies and failure to enforce laws on the books.
He also does not disclose that he is in fellowship with men who are strongly predjudiced and bigotted toward people of other ethnic backgrounds. Rev. Wright was only one of these men, and through him Obama is connected to the also. Rev. Wright endorsed and supported the racist views of the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakahn. Rev. Moss replaced Rev. Wright as pastor of the church and also holds the same views. All of these men have links the the Black Power movement that gave us the likes of Malcom X and the Black Panther Party. Obama walks in hand with them.
These are only the tip of the iceberg. Not included here are his ties to domestic terrorists, more or less inactive now but unrepentant. There are also questions of his views of Jesus Christ, God, and the church.
I would be inclined to question the veracity of a 'Christian' who can seperate their Bible from their politics. We are called to be Christians first, and then every part of our lives are to be affected from there. When we seperate what we are from what we do, we engage ourselves only in self-deceit. The Bible makes no such distinction.
