Re: Why was my Christianity in Question?
I can't vote for Obama, but I sure despise the way some of the GOP'ers carry out our politics.
That is one of the reasons why so many black Christians see supporting a Republican as something almost contrary to Christianity.
GOP'ers claim to take the high road, but many black Christians are suspect of Republicans claiming a hold on morality.

Re: Why was my Christianity in Question?
There's hardly any morality in politics.

Abortion.
Abortion is a deal breaker. Daniel had standards and some Chriastians have an issue or two that are not up for comporomise. In fact, population growth will be need to pay for this binge spending.
JD is a lib and doesn't undersatand.

Scotty, doesn't these taxes really get you upset. The loophole doesn't start until you make at least $250,000 a year. The wealthy folks gets the loophole or tax credits. That is just what we have been trying to get though the heads of these hard-headed republicans. This is the stand off on raising the debt ceiling, the democrats are trying to keep Social Security from being messed up, which has nothing to do with our debt problem, and the republicans are looking out for the wealthy folks and big businesses, because they are the ones that really fund their campaigns, and plus the republicans are the ones that outsourse our jobs, because other countries sends them money for their campaigns.

Re: Why was my Christianity in Question?
No, Seascape, the loophole starts with those who do not pay taxes at all, those on welfare, many who could work but refuse to do so. The Democrats messed up Social Security by forcing it into the general fund out of it's own fund. The Democrats are spending us to death, not the republicans. The democrats are the ones punishing families through these taxes. Please, get your facts right, quit watching the liberal MM menace, and read for yourself.
BTW, how can someone support a political cause which allows and supports mass murder, denounces the institution of marriage, and makes common sense almost illegal, and still think they are a Christian?

Obama is killing employment with gusto. Actually you are wrong because when people don't work, they don't pay into Social Security and enroll at 62 instead of later. Never go to a leftist for econ principles.

You should read the original post to this thread....we all know people that abuse the government benefits, such as welfare, and that is an area that should be reformed. We all know people that abuse the so-called company benefits also, but then there are those that live by the rules. We can not punish the ones that need and deserve what benefits they get, because of the abusers.
The Democrats are NOT spending our country to death, that was done in the 8 years of Bush. We are trying to recover from the destruction of those years. If Bush had not given the wealthiest 2% of Americans tax cuts and left it as Pres. Clinton had it, we would be still living in the surplus. Basically that is what wrong with our economy today. I know it and you know it also. I have got the facts right. The republicans are the ones punishing the working middle class, by taking away their union rights, cutting Medicare, cutting Social Security, cutting Medicaid, cutting public education, and the list goes on.
Speaking about supporting mass murder, the Bush grave yards are greater than Sadam's ever was. President Obama always stated that a marriage is between a man and a woman. The word CHRISTIAN, means Christ-like, and to this day, I have not met one that fits the qualifications. I call myself a child of God. Again, I believe the author of this thread, had you all you republicans pegged right.
