1. I agree, but if they do, then the public has the right to view it and make conclusions. Secondly, a visual aid/example is helpful in a conversation sure to take the course this one has already begun to.
2. I don't know why some folks feel like anything goes in the House of God, and completely ignore the guidelines given to us for a Spirit filled church service in 1 Corinthians 14, justifying craziness and baming it on the Spirit, when one of the fruits of the Spirit is self control.
3. I don't understand how that when someone points out that these things are anti-biblical, they are assigned evil motives by christian bretheren, rather than go to the scriptures, which forever mires the pentecostal movement in spiritual immaturity (just like the Corinthians).
What do I know?

if you had been in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost, you probably would not have liked that either.

Re: Holy Ghost Explosion
You know what? This video is so NOT who we are as a church, but I will never make fun of someone´s worship. I have seen our young people so drunk in the Holy Ghost that they have to be led or carried home. Even children - so lost in the power of God that they can´t stop speaking in tongues. Our worship is different than this, but if you would have seen our recent youth conference, you´d probably be posting videos of it too and folks would criticize. It was wild, but those kid´s lives were radically changed.
Give me a little wildfire, rather than deadness. That may surprise some of you!

Re: Holy Ghost Explosion
I knwo I posted about emotionalism in a previous post, but then I began to look at my own style of praise and worship. I would run, shout, speak in tongues, wave my hands, and even do a kind of interpretive praise unto the Lord. emotional? Absolutely, and probably more so this morning at GloryLand. So, I guess maybe I spoke completely out of turn.
He saved me with His whole life. I shall praise Him with all mine.

Re: Holy Ghost Explosion
While all know I deeply believe in worship and all that goes along with it...however there must be balance and order in a church service...I like those what I call GOD SERVICES when all you can do is worship...however on the other hand to worship with all our knowlege we must know something about worship...so teaching is also important...or we could profane the holy... I think a pastor has a great responsibility teaching the people to follow the leadings of the Lord. God works sometimes in strange ways...I don't think there is a SET way to worship...sometimes we are quite and the spirit bathes us other times we are loud and rejoicing. The most important thing to me is follow the Leading of the Lord.
More later...if have time....

Re: Holy Ghost Explosion
I think variety is good. But there are extremes. Not only in the initial videos but in other forms of Christian worship. I often endure rather than enjoy, but I also know people connect with God in various ways. Shockamoo is one way that man responds to God, be it excessive or otherwise. There are other ways man worships such as in these videos of liturgical chant and interpretive dance. All three are a bit excessive for my taste, but nevertheless I do believe they can be and are a sincere attempt at man approaching and worshipping God.

Sherri if their lives were not changed then there would have been a problem.
I am nor for people being stupid when they worship. I have seen people do some pretty dumb things: run with their eyes closed and break a bone running into a wall or post, kicking chairs through windows, hit people with flailing arms and feet, etc etc.
Sis A said it right, there has to be balance in our worship and praise. Besides we are told to do things decently and with order.
I would much rather have some live action, with order to it, than I would to be around a bunch of dead dried up pharisees. Got a lot of churches that want things too decent and in order and then others that want to just let it all hang out. GET BALANCED

its been over 10 years since i have seen a church get anywhere near that expressive in worship. I'd bet that utube was old. imho we have gone way in the opposite direction where people are really not extravagant in their expression of worship. but are rather quite restrained.

Re: Holy Ghost Explosion
One thing I like that many UC´s don´t seem to like...is sign choirs and things like that and I know we all relate to some things better than other things.
