Re: The RESPONSE LIVE IN HOUSTON,TEXAS
The meeting today was decidedly NOT political.

I wish I had known it was being streamed. Was Misty Edwards there? Who did the worship?

Re: The RESPONSE LIVE IN HOUSTON,TEXAS
Also was abortion mentioned? How about gay? No need of acting like we are repenting if we dont name specific sins.

A couple of the children that prayed, prayed concerning abortion. And I didn't stay for all of it so don't know if anyone else mentioned it. Do not recall homosexuality being mentioned! May have been later.

I agree! Would sure like to know the heart of Rick Perry and his intentions! Don't mean that to be negative. His words were powerful and seemed to be directly from his heart.
Only time will tell.

Yes. I think Edwards was there... ALOT of talk about abortion. I did not watch the whole thing in its entirety, but I did not hear about homosexuality - at least not by that name.

Yup. "Jesus, I plead your blood over my sins, and the sins of my nation. God, end abortion, and send revival to America" was repeated multiple times throughout.

His intentions:
Quote:
Employing deeply religious language that national experts say affords both power and peril for his political career, Gov. Rick Perry in late May told a group of East Texas business leaders that he was "called to the ministry" at age 27, suggested that the governor's office was his pulpit and that God put him "in this place at this time to do his will."
