Re: Pride?

A worker should have pride in his work. This kind of pride is a healthy pursuit of perfection to produce an accomplished work worthy of praise and, eventually, money to feed himself and his family. If he makes a mistake in his work, he fixes it knowing that sometimes mistakes happen, but earnestly attempt to avoid the same mistakes in the future. If this worker thinks too highly of himself, when he does slip up, with the mindset of thinking "he is so great he never makes mistakes", so that when he does make a mistake?.....it crushes him.....it crushes his pride. And, then he must start over, correcting his attitude and outlook, focusing now on the work, rather than the worker. Pride in the work vs. pride in self. A worker should always strive to be improving, with a goal toward perfection, to provide a better, more finished work.
