I would absolutely love to, but can I take a rain check on that? I have a short vacation planned with my husband soon and my class starts on Monday. I have a lot of irons in the fire right now. But if I could plan this out ahead sometime, I would love to do it! Maybe we can have a margarita together! Haha! You'll have to read my book first though so you know what you're getting into. I'm on the second draft. I have a few people reading it now to help me edit. My family has read it (except for my husband who said he already lived through it once). It has had quite good results with my parents and sister who never really understood my journey through life. I am still trying to figure out how to publish and all that. When I do post it out here, it will be under a Pen Name and I will probably have nothing to do with it under my ILG title. I will not confirm or deny anything!

But, yes, expect I may take you up on that sometime.

Re: Are You Good-Looking?

I'm reading a book now, "Younger Next Year," The premise of the book is that being sedentary is worse for your health then smoking, drinking, ect. Your body needs physical stress to react to in order to build muscle and endurance. If you don't move you decay.

the thing is though, there isn't much you can do about your skin and hair, its going to show the signs of aging regardless.

So you can feel functionally young up into your 70's and 80's, but there is nothing you can do to make yourself look younger really.

I agree, being not active will make a big difference... I just heard on the Christian radio yesterday something along the lines of your book. I have always gone to the gym faithfully for years, and this past winter/spring, I was depressed over things that had happened...pretty major things actually...and I quit going.

I could see a big difference in my endurance. I kept saying "I'm getting old" I even went to the doctor because to be honest, I had always been very strong physically and I felt I was suddenly slowing down and getting weaker. I felt different enough that I sincerely thought something might be wrong with me. I hadn't been to the doctor in 4 years for any illness, just physicals and I had gotten bronchitis in Feb, and it took forever to get over.

My doctor did blood work and asked me when I quit exercising? huh? She told me my triglycerides were elevated from my last blood work, and while the cholesterol was still not considered high..it was borderline, it really told her I had stopped exercising. wow, the blood tells all huh?

To be honest, I would go to the gym and really not lose much, but I knew I was physically more fit.

skin though... I think that genetics plays a big part in that...and how much water you drink...and good skin products. Hair I agree, it just gets thinner as you age.

Italian huh... I am just mutt...but maybe mine is mostly American Indian, my father has a lot in him. My sister and I grew up making fun of each other's noses, I think that is why I've hated mine.

now Bekah boo doesn't look a thing like me other than the nose, but thanks I must have looked young that day.
