I feel like a dress/skirt for women today is closely associated with dress clothing. Usually not associated with casual clothing.
I do not like to see a woman in a suit/tie/shirt combo...or a tux. That is distinctivly male clothing. Every year at prom time the letter goes out that a tux on a girl attending w/another girl won't be tolerated by the school.
It doesn't take long to find the women who are dressing to be a man. They have short manly hair cuts and clothing styled for a man...even more distinctive is the spirit they possess and the manner in which they carry themselves.
