They say it because it makes them feel special.

So how do I vote on this? I don't know. I don't know that I want to say that I am OP since I am really not anymore. But neither am I what some consider to be trinitarian. I believe what MOST trinitarians believe. Which is the same as what MOST oneness folks believe. (using the example of the egg. Or the example of a person who is both a father to his children, a son to his parents and a husband to his wife). Both groups use those exact same explanations. I've heard it from both!
that is the problem with polls, after the fact you can always think of other poll choices you should have added

Re: Are you an OP?

Trinity and Oneness are not the same. Trinity denies Jesus is the Father. Period. They are two different doctrines. Are there Trins that love God? Sure. But they are either:

a. Mixed up on the Godhead
b. Rejecting the Christ of scripture.

God knows the hearts.

I know it took me a long time to answer, I knew I was being a bit sensitive but could not put my finger on why. I've come to the conclusion that I'm overly tired. I'm training for a marathon, and being overly tired is showing in little ways, things that normally would not bother me are amplified. I'm hoping that as I build endurance, that this will go away. Also, I need to build more rest into my schedule to see if that helps.

In fact, as part of my training schedule , I plan to spend about half the day on Saturday online gaming. MMORPG FTW!

Oh! This is a very good thing to be aware of! I deal with the over tired thing a lot too. I'll be at work and just feeling nasty towards everyone and trying to smile and show 'happy' anyhow, all the while trying to figure out what happened to me!? Suddenly it will dawn on me that I haven't been sleeping enough, or I'm trying to fit too much into my day. Taking that time out to take care of me is so important! I hope you're able to find a special way to nurture yourself today.

Trinitarians who know trinity properly would agree with your belief statement here and call themselves trinitarian. They do not believe in three God's, but one.

Amen. I am oneness. And Pentecostal, too. I find Many oneness folks skip over some verses and miss their points, though. You listed one of them. Another is where Jesus said we would not pray to him after he departed, but to the Father ourselves because the Father loves us.

John 16:23-24
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

John 16:26-27
26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: 27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

And how many oneness people would use these actual words in their prayer, describing Jesus?

Acts 4:30
30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

It's like most oneness people usually say, "Jesus is Father, Son and Holy Ghost anyway, so it does not matter." It matters enough for Jesus to have said it, though! Many oneness people do not understand oneness.

I think OP's are the more conservative bunch while the Oneness and Pentecostal are the charismatic bunch. Although I could be wrong. lol
