are you purchasing your own policy or going through an insurance at work?
I handle Anthem BC/BS claims for the company I work for. I would recommend them to anyone...but remember, you get what you pay for. I hear people gripe about their insurance all the time....well, if you are buying it, then choose a better more expensive policy. If you have to go with what your employer gives you...then gripe on.
If you are purchasing your own thru Anthem or another company, make sure to completely be honest about ANY pre exhisting conditions and be prepared to respond to any questioning of claims by your Insurance. You have to stay active in making sure claims are paid and filling out forms and returning them.
I work in health care, I pay $60 a pay, or $120 a month for family plan...and I have a $3,500 deductible, and $4,500 out of network deductible...after that is met, they pay 100%...and also preventative is covered 100% up to $1,000 as a yearly benefit. I have a local Indiana commercial insurance. It is what it is...and I am just thankful that if something happens, I am covered.
Most plans now have large deductibles, but you can have HSA accts, and like Aquila, employers pay into the HSA fund. Mine used to pay half...but no longer pays anything.
Aquila has it good... low cost...cheap in my opinion, and help with the HSA...pretty good deal if you ask me, and better than most.
