How do you treat missionaries?
I have talked to several missionaries and thought we might discuss receiving missionaries into our churches, homes or whatever...what is your view?

Re: How do you treat missionaries?
I have the highest regard and honor for missionaries. I would do just about anything in my power to help them and encourage them. We don't have a lot of them in to speak, but we do support a lot of them. When they come through town, we try to do them right. Also when I go to a foreign country, I feel that it is my honor to bless the missionaries there, not to be a burden on them.
I figure anyone who is willing to leave their family and friends and go to another country deserves honor (no matter how "nice" the other country is). I honestly think I have a calling to encourage missionaries, and I will do my best to do just that since God hasn't seen fit to let me go full time myself.

Re: How do you treat missionaries?
Bless you Sherri...
I have talked with several missionaries over a time period and thought it would be so nice to have a guide to help people understand missionaries and missionaries understand what people have in mind when they are asked to come and things like that....there may already be something out along these lines just need time to look it up...lots of especially new missionaries often feel lost....

Re: How do you treat missionaries?
Hopefully I have treated all missionaries well. I have been a strong mission supporter throught the years. Can't support them all I wish I could. I try to treat them as royalty when they come. I have been to 3 foreign countries on mission trips it is not my calling thus I would rather send the missionaries money than to waste it going myself.

The shock of a sudden lack of a support system cannot be overstated - it really is difficult on many levels.
