Those are my old stomping grounds around there.
I grew up around Clute, Lake Jackson, El Campo, West Columbia. That whole area is where we fellowshipped. District 10.
I've been gone from that area for over 20 years so I can't say anything about the condition of many of the churches around there now. We fellowshiped often with the young people in Clute & Lake Jackson.
I looked on the UPCI website to see what churches are around and I don't recognize any of the pastors from the old days. So... the churches in Clute & Lake Jackson used to be great people but that doesn't help me in any in letting you know how things go today.
There is a church in Brazoria. Brother Harold Williams. I know him well... grew up with his son... They are good people. The church would probably be a relatively small one if that is what you are looking for.
Now... West Columbia... I can tell you about that.
That's where my parents go to church. Danny Johnson is the pastor. He is a great pastor and I really like the WC church. Brother Johnson teaches at TBC or is administration there... or both.
But... of all of those choices West Columbia would be the
farthest drive (about 15 miles or so)
Christian Tabernacle over in Angleton was always a good church back in the day as well.
Like I say... it's been a while. The only one I can suggest from recent experience is West Columbia and I state up front that this is because I haven't been to the others in decades and I am, admittedly, biased.
