Modesty Covers
Is God really in a woman falling "out in the spirit" and exposing her body as she does so?
Are there Biblical examples of the modesty covers that are used in many of the Pentecostal/Apostolic churches to cover the ladies?
Now ladies don't get mad at me for asking. Just wondering if God would really cause a lady to conduct herself in such a way as to show her body to those around her? How do you explain it?

Re: Modesty Covers
God is just has much in that as He is in two knuckle heads running around the church and colliding right in front of the podium.
One with a bloody cut to the head and a concussion.
Woooo Hoooooo Glory to God

Re: Modesty Covers
At most it may be viewed as a response to God or the Holy Spirit...
I would not blame God.

Long answer:
I am not a fan of out of control antics, tongues screamed out without interpretation, endless blabbering all through service, shouting down ones hair by frantically shaking ones head...
We go to church with a few people who are so ridiculous we have nicknamed them. The penguin, pogo stick, exit stage left, whirly, screaming meme, goldielocks, and exhibitionist annie. There is not a person in the church who if they ever overheard those names would not know exactly who we were talking about.
I think the problem you mention is the one that belongs to annie... even as a woman I do not desire to know what color another ladies panties are in nearly every service.
Short answer:
Yes I think it is unseemly but I'm an old prude.

Re: Modesty Covers
Do you have someone when they pray/worship is actually annoying?

Bwahahaha! Your description is funny.
Not funny that they were hurt, but I have never been in a service where people shouted and got hurt...and we've had some wild services before. Nobody got hurt.

When I went to UPC, like I posted earlier, nobody got hurt. However, occasionally a lady would "fall out" and expose her legs. Someone from the rest of the lady crowd would find a blanket or coat and cover the exposed parts. That is a "love courtesy" from our sisters.

I know of a fellow that busted right thru a sheetrocked wall in the sanctuary.
I visited a church once that the ones who were "spiritually touched" felt the need to demonstrate their superiortry by running the backs of the pews.
The pews anchors were all busted out of the floor from this.
Some of the antics I've seen borders on idiocy, the border of idiocy is of course ignorance.

I was UPC too and have seen a lot go on that I just questioned as whether it was of God.
I remember one General Conference, held in the large convention center in another state. One of the "runners" from Louisiana didn't realize how high up he was up in the convention center and how far around it was. He took off running and by the time he got back his tongue was hanging out. God forgot to give him some extra oxygen! lol
