Re: CLarksville,TN Church
I don't care what camp these people would be labeled as,the messages from this church have greatly ministered to me.
These folks seem to have alot of love and are reaching out to people in compassion,I think these sermons would be a blessing to all who listen to them.

Real life can't always be tidied up like a forum can be. That's why we must depend upon the trust and forgiveness of our brothers and sisters. Deliverance, forgiveness, healing and restoration are all necessary parts of each of our lives.

trust, forgiveness, deliverance, healing...are all great things.
my problem is not with them....i do have a problem with someone posting on a public forum that someone has been arrested but then providing no proof to validate his claim.
if you're going to make a statement of fact....then you should at least be expected to validate it. if its only an opinion...then thats different.

I live in Tennessee not too far from Clarksville and read the police blotter myself in the newspaper when this happened. I looked for it now to post a link here but it is so old now it doesn't come up in a search.
Pastor West made a cryptic blog entry after his arrest that could be seen as alluding to his problems but I also noticed that on his church site they have redone the blog section and have no archives. There is a short note from him dated Jan 09 saying he would be back in a week to start blogging but no blogs that I can see.
If you click on the link given on his church website for his wife's blog the link comes up as a domain that has expried or is not active.
I do see on their media tab there is a sermon from Pastor West in February so I guess he is still there.
I don't know Shane West from Adam and what little I listened to his preaching onlline it was not my cup of tea. Howeverit is clear he has been working hard building that church there before that evangelizing and I hate for anybody doing a work for the Lord to stumble and fall like he did.
Since there is no information online about the situation I can only hope that he owned up to it and submitted himself to some ministers for a process of restoration. I pray that this was not another one of those situations where failure and sin was swept under the rug in the name of "protecting the church" or "protecting God's work".

Re: CLarksville,TN Church
The pastor, Shane West, contracted with me to edit his website for $150. I lowered my price to accommodate this. The ad mentioned that the money might "come in handy for Christmas (it certainly would have)," and he specifically said he wanted the blog posted by Christmas day, so I really pushed to finish it.
He doesn't seem to have incorporated any of the changes and will not respond to e-mails or the PayPal invoice I sent. He just wanted someone to assure him that what he already had was for the most part readable and had no intention of using the changes or paying. Funny, why didn't he just ask people from his flock to donate their time. Losing that money couldn't have come at a worse time for me.
STEER CLEAR of this guy. Once a con artist, always a con artist -- minister or not. The fact that he bills himself as a "minister" is probably the biggest con of all. I've found threads on some other websites from people who've had similar experiences.
"THOU SHALT NOT STEAL."
How can someone like this have been hired as a pastor anywhere?

He is still at it -- and I have the ignored invoice to prove it.

Re: CLarksville,TN Church
deenibeeni,
I am sorry for the issue you are having with this person but please don't post duplicate posts referring to the same news story. You have posted at least four in a row.
