The essence of the tongues are the same whether they are deemed to serve multiple purposes or not...
It makes no sense whatsoever to say a particular tongue must be interpreted lest the unlearned say we are mad... But the preacher (or others) may have complete liberty to yell in tongues at his discretion without interpretation, because that particular use of tongues was not meant to be interpreted...
