I keep a pair of earplugs in my bible case anyway. Sometimes I need them on Youth night because with the youth in charge of the service, they only know one volume level-- called TOO LOUD. I think my age is showing, because sometimes the "music" is just "noise" to me.

Some folks' posting styles just don't mirror the real person and his is a classic case.

Folks... IAM is a serious preacher and did a great job. I'm glad that he was able to be with us tonight - my son scheduled him at the last minute as I was on my way to Alaska to take the pressure off me.

Had a great time... got to meet some great folks. I suspect one tell tale sign that we enjoyed our time together is that it's now 3:33 AM and IAM and his wife just left for the Evangelist Quarters. NLYP and DQ left about an hour ago I think. Honestly, we could have stayed up all night laughing and having fun.

Ironically, this is about the time I start getting my 'second wind' but I'm going to bed now.

Bless IAM and his wife and NLYP & DQ for taking the time to be with us tonight. Great service and great fellowship!

It was the effects of that incredible service last night... in the middle of IAM's preaching NLYP suddenly jumped up and screamed "I see the light!" at which point he ran and snatched the microphone from IAM and announced to our congregation that he had, indeed, been a flaming liberal but was now walking in a great revelation of conservatism.

Mind you, I was a little wary of how genuine the announcement was until he shouted out, "From this night on I'm going to vote just like your Pastor on all the resolutions at General Conference... especially the TV resolution!"

What a rejoicing time we had.
