Those prices are still over inflated. An average family can not afford the house payments, property taxes, and upkeep on those houses. I feel for families who are caught in the situation where they are now paying more than that house is 'worth', however it is not worth trying to sell, and there is enduring temporal value in owning property (unless you are built in areas of landslides).
