What about that Mr. KTBW? What about the degrading of other people's beliefs ? What about telling someone their spriitual experience was just nonesense Mr KTBW ?

I have found that ignoring people who are deeply critical of worship or standardes is the best method of dealing with them. I do not mind discussing these with people, but I have found that those who are critical are rarely worth talking to because they will criticize everything and say nothing uplifting.

For starters, I don't think you read my post correctly, or perhaps you did and are just having a good time. But, I am female
I am sorry, I should not have used the word degrade. Perhaps was a bad word choice on my part. However, if you don't understand other people's situation completely, how can you truly judge? Just a point I was trying to get across.
I have no desire to get into a "spat" with you, but just hoped you could see the other side of the coin. We all have our opinions, fairly strong ones, and as Jay pointed out above, I guess it is best to try not to argue with those who are not willing to listen to an opinion from the opposite end of the spectrum.
I hope you have a blessed day Scotty, and I mean that

Well Scotty I certainly hope that nothing I ever said was taken as criticizing your worship or how you choose to live your life. I can't even really argue standards with a straight face because I am more plain then even most OP women. No makeup, no jewelery except my very plain nearly 30 year old very well worn wedding band, long skirts which I even ride my horse in and a very simple bun. I have been asked if I am Amish, lol... I am not going to cut off my hair or stuff myself into a pair of Wranglers just to make a point because that is not me. It's ironic that I have met lots of other women like me and they are not Pentecostal... They are Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, Church of Christ, Hebraic Christian, Messianic Jew, Brethren. Of course many are farmers, homeschoolers, mothers of large families, many with a mix biologic and adopted kids just like my own. They love God and they love people. They are wholesome, salt of the earth folks. They were my biggest problem with my UPCI church... I just can't put them in hell because they do not believe God is exactly the way that the UPCI believes God.
Nope, standards or leaping and dancing in the spirit are definitely not my issues... You may be doing a little of that broad brush painting yourself.

Maybe that is what I like about you... I figure that if you can live for God with your ornery streak then I can live for God with mine

I like emailing people over and over again to tell them I am NOT reading anything they post. It is sort of the virtual 'silent treatment'. That seems to work!

Re: Old Time Pentecost
I just do not tell them I read it, or ignore the posts unless I feel that they have a factual problem and not just an opinion.
