For some reason I thought that all of your children were girls. If I was mistaken please forgive me.

Well sort of! When our last "girl" (confirmed by ultrasound) was born we quickly changed the name from Lacey to Stevie! Stevie is two, and we do have three older girls.
The Ultrasound today was VERY clear. I don't think it's wrong.
Here is our family at the Christmas parade:

Re: Offspring
I thought that I remembered you having all girls. However, that would have been when my father was on this forum and you had just gotten back from your gig on tv. I was opperating on dated information. Thank you for the clarification and best of luck on the new little one. I will be anticipating more good news from you at about this time next year .

Re: Offspring
Here's my deal. I heart kids, I want a kid bad. It just hurts my heart to think I may have a kid and he/she'll have to grow up in this area where morals are declining, and bad things happen. If I had a kid I'd be one of those anal parents, licking my finger and wiping off the face and all that.

Re: Offspring
Matt, I agree. The thought of being a parent in this day and age is a terrifying one to me. (I know that I need a wife first, but I enjoy overthinking things.) I am not one of those who would be helicopter parents, but I would be trying to keep my children busy enough to keep them from any more trouble than was strictly necessary (having been a child I do know that some is necessary for growing up).

My thinking is this... God wants us to have kids both physically and spiritually and teach them in the ways of the Lord. This alone tremendously impacts our world for the good.
Bad things do happen - yes, but I trust that even in this God is able to impact His creation for good.

Re: Offspring
Congratulations, Hoovie!!! Your kids are all so adorable - you should have about a dozen or so.

Re: Offspring
Raising kids in this moral environment is not hard as long as Christ is the center of the home. Lots of love, laughter, prayer. My husband taught our boys scripture from home. They learned scripture that is never mentioned during church services. We always did things together. Our children always went with us wherever we went. Everything we did, we did as a family.
We never had teenage rebellion. They always wanted to be home instead of running with the crowd. We are grateful that we had them home with us for as long as we did. And we are blessed that they still come to see us often.
One day we hope to be blessed with grandchildren, but I certainly do not want that to happen until they are fully ready.

Re: Offspring
Great "sweeps" photo!
Seriously, that is a neat family "portrait". Glad to hear the latest news.....and that the new addition will be a boy.
