Trayvon Martin's mom Sybrina Fulton said in an interview on the "Today" show Thursday that she believes it was "an accident" that George Zimmerman shot and killed her son in Sanford, Fla., on Feb. 26.

"I believe it was an accident," Fulton said. "I believe that it just got out of control, and he couldn't turn the clock back. I would ask him, did he know that that was a minor, that that was a teenager and that he did not have a weapon? I would ask him that I understand that his family is hurting, but think about our family that lost our teenage son. I mean, it's just very difficult to live with day in and day out.
I'm sure his parents can pick up the phone and call him, but we can't pick up the phone and call Trayvon anymore."
Zimmerman, who is being charged with second-degree murder, is currently being held in protective custody at the Seminole County jail, awaiting a court appearance.
I'm not sure Zimmerman had opportunity to think of those things after being unexpectedly hit in the nose, taken to the ground and then having his skull slammed against the concrete numerous times. That is Zimmerman's story, if true he is not guilty of murder. If not true, if he attacked Trayvon or threatened him with harm, him he may be guilty of murder, hopeful the truth will be revealed, and he is judged accordingly by a fair jury.

The Martin family has taken a gut slam with the loss of their son, I can't imagine their hurt and pain. Their actions are understandable, in the aftermath of that loss. May God comfort them, and help them in the days that follow. They now have the assurance of their son's killer having to defend his actions with the threat of life imprisonment, hopefully this will give them an even place to deal with their loss.

Something fishy about the way zimmerman looks. All the pictures shown about this guy showed a rather heavy individual. His cheeks were jowled out. Now today's pic on yahoo shows a slender and "calm" Zim.

I know that one media source stated he was anxious and lost weight through "his ordeal", but hey...so much so soon?

No, no. Look at the video clips from 2/26/12 and look at his pic today. He has lost a serious amount of weight.

It could be anxiety or it could be a strategy. A scrawny zim looks defenseless against a 6"2, 17 year old football player. It may mean the difference between his freedom and his incarceration.

"Surely this soft spoken, mild-mannered, small-framed little man who has done so many good things in his community wouldn't be guilty of murdering a 17 year old kid, unless he had to do it?"

Re: Anger + Sadness = RAGE

Wonder where MSNBC came up with this at..none of the other news media has said anything about Zimmerman provoking this

http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/20...tin-first?lite

Updated at 3:39 p.m.: George Zimmerman made his first court appearance Thursday in the fatal shooting of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, where a judge found probable cause to proceed with the case based on prosecutors' contention that Zimmerman provoked the confrontation.

http://news.yahoo.com/zimmerman-atto...201549716.html

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — When Casey Anthony stood trial last summer in her toddler's death, Mark O'Mara became a familiar face on local television making daily critiques of prosecutors and defense attorneys in the world-famous case.
Legal experts will now train their sights on O'Mara, who faces the parsing of his every move by a hungry public now that he is defending the neighborhood watch volunteer charged with killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
O'Mara took on the job Wednesday, the day that a special prosecutor filed a second-degree murder charge against George Zimmerman, the 28-year-old neighborhood watch volunteer who says he shot the unarmed teen in self-defense.
