Cindy, small farmers or families cannot have a backyard hog here in Mississippi. It was outlawed by our legislature. I kid you not.
Wonder when they are going to outlaw backyard chickens. May have to move to another state.

Really? Do you know why? But there are commercial hog farms?

One of the State Senators back in the late 80s or early 90s introduced legislation because he said "Hog farms stink" and we had to do something about it. It also had something to do with Environmental Air and water quality. Apparently hog waste was polluting soil and water, as well as the air.
Not sure if there are any commercial hog farms in Mississippi.

A great prayer. It is one I pray just about every day but the version I pray includes the "Where there is division, unity" line because I am really bothered by the way God's people are divided.
