However, I would second your statement bolded above. Those I knew were solid in the faith and daily spiritual routines. I never once heard a word spoken from their leadership or any of their members against those of another denomination, let alone that others were "lost."

Ya, never heard that from a Muslim either.
Christians seem to be the only one with that problem.

"Are you perfect?" You bet. Any less is to deny Christ for me. Or are you revealing some sin of mine, that I must name and ask forgiveness for, to be perfect again?

I don't think your reading everything that I'm writing (which I understand and tend to do to.) This started between you and I because your implication of muslims being saved.
I do believe the bible that once one is born again they are forgiven. Forgiven from past, present, and future sin.
The church is His bride of whom I belong and I'm waiting for that glorious day of the marriage supper. I have great reservation though of people who think that God is a polygamist and will have several brides at that feast. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. There is only one Lord, one faith, one baptism. There will only be one bride at that supper.
You seem to think that muslim will take the path of allah and and be at that supper.

There are only one of each, but their definitions are larger than
our words for them. We are told that many or most who have said the words that you surely associate with "salvation" will be in hell, meaning "Jesus" and "Gospel" were not accepted. Your Jesus and your Gospel.

Bbyrd, to put it simple...
I get from what you are writing that if one does good works it will get God to notice him and then God will save that person.
Is this what you are trying to convey?

I disagree with this because I have not given any magic words to recite for salvation.

You sir are ignorant of muslims then. I have to agree with the other poster who said you have no clue as to what you're talking about.

I don't think this; it is assured to me, at "many will cry, 'Lord, Lord," and the separation parable. These assure me that any human who thinks they have God cornered should think again.
There is only one Lord, Faith, Baptism, amen. One "born again." As soon as you release your definitions of those words, and seek God's definitions of them, this apparent polygamy will resolve.
It's early, ya, and while I read your post, I didn't connect it too well with my post that it answered. I'll look again after 2nd cup, which is here : )

You seem to think that you have God's definition of being born again. Please tell me so that I may see how the people who reject Jesus Christ as being God will be at the marriage supper of the Lamb.

That model obv ignores Christ, or seems to, in a way that I'm not real comfy with. I would ask the surprised sheep at the separation.
I think, in that endless argument, we maybe ignore the heart,
the reason, of the sheep doing the good works.
"You gag me, but I'll do what the Law prescribes"
does not equal "I understand."

Ok, then this was for virtually every other Christian,
and not you.
