Ten Reasons Against Gay Marriage

1. Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.
2. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around with tall people will make you tall.
3. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4. Straight marriage has been around for a long time; and hasn’t changed at all; women are still property; blacks can’t marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears’ 55 hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6. Straight marriages are valid because they produce children; Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn’t be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren’t full yet, and the world needs more children.
7. Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
8. Gay marriage is not supported by religion; In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That’s why we only have one religion in America.
9. Children can never succeed without a male and female role model at home. That’s why we as a society strictly forbid single parents to raise children.
10. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven’t adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

I only have one reason against Gay marriage.
It is an abomination in God's eyes and that is enough for me.

It is my understanding of the Bible that living the homosexual lifestyle is a sin. I choose not to live that way. However, is it right to force everyone else to live by my religious beliefs?

"Gay Marriage" isn't really about equal rights. It's about forcing the government and in a deluded round about way, society, to accept Homosexuality.

I remember when they started marrying gays in California the news interviewed one gay person who said something to the effect that Californians accepted their lifestyle...but it was really a liberal appeals court that paved the way for gay marriage when MOST californians voted against it

BTW gays can already get married in religious ceremonies. And they can already have civil unions in California with the same rights.

Think I'll add my 2 cents worth of questions...

Is it RIGHT that we accept that which the Word of God is against, just so we can appear to be politically correct?

Is God pleased with this?

Certainly God is NOT pleased, any more than He was when Lot pitched his tent toward Sodom.

There is never, ever any excuse for not being kind and trying to win the lost, but "at any cost" should never, ever be at the expense of biblical truth.
