Re: Bin Laden's wives obey Acts 238???
Silly ministers and their silly lies.......
Amal Fateh, Khairiah Sabar and Siham Sabar.
People have names. The silly man can't name any of those "new converts" I suspect

Re: Bin Laden's wives obey Acts 238???
Let's hope, as someone else put it, that this is either naiveté or a lack of fact checking....
Either way it makes Apostolics look foolish.

Yet people who do this continue to be lifted up, idolized, and held in high regard in Oneness circles. It blows my mind that nobody holds preachers who make these wild assertions accountable. They still get invited to preach at the largest OP churches and meetings.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

It baffles me, too. Some people can be booted from organizations over the smallest things, and yet others can inflate, exaggerate, pontificate and teach urban legends as biblical truth--with longterm blessing. It's a disturbing double standard.

And where are the "gifts" that are supposed to be working in the church. Have you ever known of a minister that was in sin being called out by someone operating in the gifts. The ones that I can remember were exposed when they were caught, not when they were exposed by one of the gifts in operation! Just saying! Again, I'm interested in knowing who might fit in the category of being exposed by the "gifts" and not by being caught.

The analogy I would use is that of law officers. We all want to teach our children to grow up to respect law / peace officers but many times they make it hard for us to do with their behavior. (recently saw security video of airport police tasering a belligerant man then after handcuffing him dragging him FACE down by his legs across a hard airport floor. I didn't blame them for tasering him but the dragging thing was ridiculous.)

Good grief.
