I don't have panic attacks other than breaking out in cold sweats (which I can handle) but then think "I am an adult. I was not an adult then. I am now. I don't have to stand for this. I can leave!".

Someone will no doubt say "Look at how often you said 'I'!!!" (which I did on purpose). The point is is that I had NO control over the pod people since I was not an adult yet, at the time.
