So let me get this straight. When the police go to arrest somebody if that person resists they should just let them go unless they are threatening the cops life.
You are so out of touch with reality you make Al Gore look on top of things! (J/K - sort of)

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

I have a feeling you didn't think your statement through very carefully before posting it. At least I hope that is the case.

No, I listed a clear escalation from force, to violence, to killing, only when necessary.
If it is necessary for a cop to use force when dealing with a person resisting arrest, the cop should use overwhelming force to efficiently perform his duties.
However, overwhelming force does not mean kill.
Remember when the Oakland Subway Police shot and killed a man that was handcuffed and laying on his stomach BEFORE he was shot?
That was unnecesary.
Most cases of police brutality that see the light of headlines are headlines because the cops involved did not practice proper judgment.
I question the judgment of tasering a mentally ill person. She could have died, then what?
She died outside of church because she wouldn't/couldn't stop beating her tambourine?
See the lunacy in that?

According to the article:
Myers said, “She was not filled with the Holy spirit. She was not being very Christianly and this is why the folks decided to get her out as soon as possible.”
So...why didn't the elders and saints just converge on her and anoint her with oil and pray for her instead?
Just a thought....

Re: Tazed Church Tambourine Player (L)
Lindell Cooley visited a local AofG church last year. My family and I were seated in the front row. A lady came down in the middle of service whooping and hollering flinging her arms all over the place. She was a huge distraction. The preacher and the ushers didn't do anything. After a few minutes, I silently muttered prayer under that she would be slain in the Spirit. I said it half-joking. I few seconds later, I looked over, and she was on the floor. She stayed there until the service was over.
I like the taser idea better.

German, I apologize that I misread your post. Upon reading it again I see what you were saying. The first time I took it to mean you did not believe in using force unless life was being threatened. Whew, I am glad I read wrong and you are not that far gone!

Re: Tazed Church Tambourine Player (L)
We don't know the backstory. I would bet this wasn't the first time she caused a disturbance. There are some situations where you don't want to draw attention to that type of behavior. She wasn't there to be saved or be healed. She was there to cause a scene. I'm sure the woman had plenty times to ask for deliverance.
