The reason I am a Mac person is:
Before I retired from GE on March 1, 1959 I used a computer in my work. We were on whatever the latest Windows system was at the time. I could do enough to do my job but was not very adept with it.
During Thanksgiving dinner 2000 one of my sons asked me if I missed GE. I told him the only thing I missed about GE was the emails and jokes. That year for Christmas he gave me an iMac. Well, since I was not very computer savvy and this was a whole new system I bought a book called "The iMac for Dummies" and started out on page 1. I went page by page until I got far enough that I could do some emails, word processing, internet searching, etc and closed the book. I've pretty much remained there.
I joined an online Mac Users Group called CMUG (Christian Mac Users Group) and that helped me with some questions as they came up. I also joined a local Mac Users Group called AppleSiders in March 2001. Their web site is
http://www.applesiders.org/Home.html I still belong to that group and have learned a few things. I dropped out of the online Mac Users Group to cut down on emails received. If you are interested I think it is still active and you can find out about them at
