One of my old PIII computers runs windows 2000 with games for the grandson (he loves it).

(PS: I have also run Mandriva Linux, Linux Mint, Vector Linux, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, OpenSuse, FreeBSD, PCBSD, Mepis Linux, AntiX, DreamLinux, Debian, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc) What can I say? I love old computers and Linux.
Maybe I can raid your mind for information then. I'm thinking of installing Ubuntu on a second partition, to expand my knowledge a bit more. I've been a hardcore Windows man since 95.

Eh...I have an 8 core AMD CPU, 2 video cards in SLI format and 4 gigs ram...got my PS for roughly $60 on sale at frys.

You can get a PS tester there too really cheap.

I paid 89 for my OCZ 700 watt one so they're not too incredibly pricey.

Re: Picking Up A New Computer Tomorrow

Well, I got mine, and I paid retail for it, so I'll have to be satisfied. Say a prayer for me guys, I'm in the middle of a Ubuntu install. Hope I did everything right, I wouldn't want to restart and find Windows unbootable. If worst comes to worst, I can always boot
Ubuntu from cd! Lol.

Re: Picking Up A New Computer Tomorrow

Where in the world did you buy this computer that you don't have a Windows 7 reboot disc or access online to download it?????

Please tell me you didn't buy a used laptop when you can buy new ones for $299 and $399

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Most Laptops come with install files on a partitioned drive. Usually before bootup you hit some key to enter into restore mode
