where i would disagree with the sleeves and casting this and that away . I would agree on the prayer and more dedication to it. Just remember we don't do A.B.C to get blessing 1.2 & 3

The evangelist has nothing to do with it really. I am not taking away from his role, but the fact is that generally a church that truly starts to seek the face of God and yields to His will shall be granted a revival. It may take an evangelist to encourage the church to reach that point, or to build their faith in God to reach out, but he is not a strict necessity. This is just an unfortunate stereotype that we have fallen into over the last 60-70 years.

you mis understand me. your correct the evangelist has nothing to do with it. what i am saying is revival is in the people. usually its the evangelist that encourages worship. which in turns allows people to be acceptable for revival.
Many times people set on the pew waiting for that feel good message or that right song, when God inhabits the praise of his people. praise under girds your faith, its brings God into your situation, it sets the sdtage for God to move on you and through you. There is great power in praise, and there is also great power in prayer.

Ok, I see what you are saying. The evangelist is often forced to 'prime the pump'. I must agree with you there. Bro. Verbal Bean acknowledged this to be the case as well, and stated that this should not be so. I believe that a church should be well primed before the evangelist ever darkens the city limit sign. This way, they can move straight into the winning of souls.

Re: Forum Name Change
A couple of suggestions.
Apostolic Critics Forum
Apostolics Who Never Agree Forum
I can go to other forums such as, cars, biking, acoustic guitar, guns, health, etc. and find the majority of the participants friendly and helpful. Come to AFF and find hostility and critics in the majority of threads. Sad.

Re: Forum Name Change
Leave it as "Apostolic". I left the formal Apostolic Movemeny many years ago but the name Apostolic simply refers to the Apostles doctrine which Im all for.
Or on the other hand call it "Charismatic Friends". Then when Charismatics show up they can be presented with Oneness doctrine in an enviroment that is (hopefully) not hostile TO Apostolics. Some of us could use it as an Evangelistic outreach for truth.

Using discretion about your appearance, what you watch, and how your spend your time, spending time seeking the Lord in prayer, reading and believing the promises in his word, and pushing away from the lusts of the flesh and eyes, and pride, will make you available for a sovereign move of the Holy Ghost.
How you are in this world, and how you spend your time on this earth, has everything to do with it.

Very good.

I don't have a problem with the Apostolic part. It's the "Friends" part that seems out of place.

The chosen apostles were given instructions by Jesus and their understanding opened. They were equipped to go into the world and preach the gospel. And preach and teach they did. They preached Christ and him crucified. Those who have followed the Apostles of the LORD, teach and preach the same thing. If not, they are not APOSTLICS! Apostolics came from the Apostles Doctrine or teaching. Pentecostal comes from the experience received on the DAY OF PENTECOST! I have absolutely no problem being called an APOSTOLIC PENTECOSTAL! DO YOU? IF SO, WHY! I also do not have a problem being called a JESUS NAME APOSTOLIC PENTECOSTAL! For I am not ashamed of the gospel of JESUS CHRIST, for it is the POWER OF GOD unto salvation to everyone that believeth! It is for WHOSOEVER WILL!!

I agree with all this EXCEPT when you say the role of the Son is fulfilled. Jesus as the Son of man is our daily mediator. Paul said to the Thessalonians we are waiting for the Son to come from Heaven.
9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; 10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come . 1 Thess. 1:9-10
It might be more accurate to say he fulfilled his role as the lamb that was slain
