Re: Femine In Greek ?

I have Latin in my educational background, not Greek, but I was also an excellent French student. In English it is the sex of a noun that determines masculine or feminine, but not so in French or Latin. The sex has absolutely nothing to do with it. When memorizing vocabulary words we have to also memorize whether the noun is masculine, feminine or neuter, for this affects the word endings. In French a feminine noun ends in ae, but a masculine noun ends in a. My nephew, whom I raised, was a Latin & Greek student at O.U. I will ask him about the Greek and make double sure on the Latin.
