No, Hoovie! Just stating a fact. It's nothing like a Pentecostal church since Bro. Hardwick stepped down.
Our last year there, we never heard any mention of Holy Ghost baptism. They believe in it, but it's not a point of emphasis like you would normally hear in a Pentecostal church.
As mentioned, it was no big deal when a youth leader baptized in the titles. If cornered, leadership will tell you that they believe in the traditional orthodox view of the trinity.
As CC1 mentioned, they ordain all of their ministers in the Anglican church, but it's a branch if the Anglican church that tolerates charismatic type worship.
Does this have any bearing on Bro. Hogg's son becoming an Anglican Priest?
Anyone who knows Dan knows that he in infatuated with the historical orthodox church and the academia side of Christianity. There is no doubt in my mind that he would wear robes if he knew there wouldn't be a backlash. In fact, he wore the backwards collar for a while before giving in to complaints.
I haven't attended Christ Church in over a year, so I'm not sure what he wears these days. As you might imagine, I have several friends that still attend, so I will hear about any major changes. I do hear that CC has lost about 40% it's members since Dan took over as pastor.

Here is a link to the CC website and last Sunday's service. You will see that Dan is still wearing a suit and tie. I do know that sometimes he doesn't wear a tie. No collar and no robe.
I may not like the direction he is taking the church but he is one of my favorite speakers in Christendom. He needs to be second banana on a staff somewhere where he can teach but not be the decision maker!
Pastor Hardwick make a big mistake when his successor planning changed from Phil Goldsberry to Dan. I am sure he thought Dan had learned a life lesson with his difficulties in Phoenix. (to be clear by difficulties I mean church management not any sin issues. I have never heard one derogatory thing about the life Dan lives personally).

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
Quote from Ethel Goss (widow of 1st UPC Gen Supt. Howard Goss) book "The Winds of God"
I attended Christ Church for twenty years. Over the years it has evolved from a UPC church to an Anglican church. All of it's ministers are now ordained into the Anglican church.
