Jesus chose his disciples. One day Peter questioned Jesus about the fact that they had left all to follow him. What would they get! Jesus replied that they who had followed him, in the regeneration, when the Son of man, would sit in the throne of his glory, they would also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Matt. 19:28 After Jesus' resurrection he appeared to his disciples and would teach them. Read
Luke 24:44-53. (Luke wrote Acts also). Those who followed Jesus before his ascension, would suffer much persecution. Those who followed Jesus, would later suffer much persecution. But in the end they would reign with him. He told them what to teach and preach. This is known as THE APOSTLES DOCTRINE or Teaching. Why shouldn't it be important. It was JESUS' Teaching that HE PUT INTO His chosen Apostles. They were to pass it on. That same teaching came to our family in 1933, from an old white-haired preacher who came to my paternal grandmother and her son (my late father). It was searched out in scripture, BELIEVED (faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of GOD), OBEYED and RECEIVED and has/is being passed on to the 6th generation. OH, How I thank GOD for the message of Apostolic salvation. The Blessings have been, and continue to be, that which money cannot buy! What a treasure it is. TOO many today have been short-changed concerning this Wonderful message. The Message in
Acts 2. Perhaps it has been HIDDEN from the so-called wise and prudant, but REVEALED to babes. (Those who came to HIM as a little child).
