"...without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (
Hebrews 11:6, KJV)
God, who does not
"see" man as we mortals do, is able to observe the thoughts and intent of one's heart; and when God
"sees" one's
"faith in him," (regardless of whether they be Trinitarian or whatever), the words of this scriptural passages assures them that they shall receive that which they seek from God. I write this from personal experience, for I was a member of an avowed Trinitarian group for many years, but after seeking God for the revelation of truth about
"speaking in tongues," I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost (while yet an active member of that group).
Ever hear of those who received healing while watching one of the so-called television evangelists, simply because they believed the speaker to be
"a man of God" that advised them to simply lay their hands on the TV set and God would heal them? Well, it happens all the time! In such instances does God care one whet whether they believe in a trinity or not? Of course not! God does all things according to one's faith in Him.
I knew absolutely nothing about the oneness of God when I received the Holy Ghost. And, I also knew nothing about His oneness when I was immersed in the waters of baptism
"in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ" for the remission of my sins. In fact, it was several months afterwards, as I sought to understand the things I was hearing others preach about the oneness of God, that I
"diligently" sought God for that revelation. And as is always the case (just as the words of
Hebrews 11:6 explicitly asserts), I was given this marvelous revelation.
What I am endeavoring to emphasize here is simply this: God deals with each person based upon their
"faith" in Him, and this regardless of one's beliefs regarding His oneness!
