I know this has been discuss it his forum, but the idea of tithes was so the priests could live equally with the other tribes. My opinion is that pastors should live at the same income level as the members. If you pastor a wealthy church, you can take a bigger salary. Something is out of balance when an average to low income church has a pastor driving a BMW and living in a castle. The pastor is not a king. The pastor is a servant leader.
