I did not feel guilty as there is generally hardly ever any traffic at this location. Totally different story to be a selfish driver in traffic, IMO. The only thing you have to watch for is deer or cattle that may have gotten through the fence.

Maybe you should let us know now what kinds of flowers you would prefer for your funeral. Because if you keep driving like that, my friend, I have serious fears that we might just have to get them for you. PLEASE slow down!! NOTHING is that important that you need to get there that fast!

Margie, There was no traffic. It is a lonely, long stretch of road. I wasn't in any danger. If there had been any traffic, I wouldn't have put other people's lives in jeopardy going that fast. There isn't that much difference between 70 and 100 anyway. Texas pays to have excellent well-paved roads.
But, I do like pink and red roses. lol

This is true, you will be just as dead at 70 as you would 100 MPH.

Margie & Cindy, I don't know what it is like down in the States, but in Canada, it is common knowledge that the speed limit is there yes, but safety experts & the Police say to go with the flow of traffic.
At night, or early in the morning if it is say three or four o'clock & there is no traffic around, one is also allowed to go through a red light if there is no traffic.
Besides, everyone knows that traffic fines are just revenue generators.
It isn't about safety.

A sin to speed? It may be a bad witness, but no, it some instances, I don't think so.
In a School, Park, or resedential neighbourhood--yup!

I agree, Ron. In those locations, I would call that a "selfish driver".
I have sped around someone that didn't have cruise control and would speed up, draw back, speed up, draw back - ARGH!!!
That is one reason I don't have a fish symbol on the back of my vehicle. I do have a Texas Longhorn emblem though.

And that's not a sin?
And by the way, I join in with the others, slow down and stay with us. We'll need you in 4 more years, if you know what I mean!

BT, They better put up someone really good that isn't a sorry pandering fool or I will push back just as hard. At least we are getting some Constitutional fights going on with Obama. At this time in our history, we need it.
