Dear Marie:
Under the same contex, a mans head would be considered covered(veiled) if his hair is long enough to cover his head (that form of the body most readily taken hold of).
Meaning that if I were going to take hold of a person by their head, as I did when I was a wrestler in school; I quite likely would be taking hold of the person by their neck as well. Because the neck is also readily taken hold of as well, the neck would then be considered to be part of the head, as well as the ears. These parts of the head should then be uncovered or unveiled on a man.
