No ring fingers....rings are of the debil.

Oh and don't forget to baptize for the dead...

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

It's a command, and we do it in our church, but you also have to use wisdom and judgement. If some new comer just came into the church, and didn't know that that is how we greet each other, you don't just go up to them and kiss them, you might end up running them away. The same as the brothers aren't to just kiss the sisters and vice versa. Also not everyone may be exactly comfortable with it. If they are comfortable with it, you may greet them with a holy kiss, if not, you don't force them.

Another scripture comes to mind, about not letting things that you have liberty to do, become a stumbling block to a saint...1Cor 8:9

A "kiss" is not always a giant sucking of the lips! It can mean to touch lightly or brush against. That is more what I practice, though my Mennonite family often still practices the lip/cheek kiss for brethren.

This is pretty much what we do as well, but if a new brother comes into the faith and doesn't have the understanding of how everyone greets, and another brother comes up to him and tries to give him a holy kiss, what is he going to think?

Question, Paul says to drink no more water, but a little wine for your infirmities. If a new believer comes into the faith, and thinks that it's absolutely wrong to drink wine, and that it's a sin, (remember this person is innocent and honest) do you still go ahead and say "aw there's nothing wrong with it," and offend the saint by drinking the wine in front of them anyway, and end up causing the saint to look down upon you and the faith, and end up turning away due to your careless actions, or do you refrain from drinking it, until the person comes to understanding?

This is the problem with people in religion today; No judgment, no understanding, no wisdom. Hardly anyone knows how or is willing to suffer and sacrifice their wants and desires, to help save and win anyone's souls to Christ. You either have them too strict, and push people away by being too judgmental, without truly listening (or seeming to care for that matter,) what the person is dealing with, or going through. Or you have them too loose, and say you can do whatever you're comfortable with, God doesn't care, just say that you "believe" and that you're a christian, and your saved...
