I just don't see the correlation......

It is logic, and sadly a logic that isn't applied.

His "standard" is "Be perfect even as the Father in Heaven is perfect". Whatever is taught in the New Testament applies to the saints. A great part of Christian living is to be "pure in heart".
Heart issues are much more wrenching to deal with than dress issues. That does not mean there are no dress issues. Just stay with the New Testament. When they teach from the OT and it is accepted then to be consistent we would have to put ourselves under ANYTHING in the law of Moses.

I was trained in standards for over 40 years, no tv, no jewelry, no shorts, dresses on women, no cutting hair if you are a woman, cut your hair if you are a man, no beards on men, etc etc. Problem is I do not have any real scripture to back any of these.

LOL, well lets see one of them is Duet 22:5 which isn't real clear on women wearing pants. Of course, that is just one example of many.

I know the standard scriptures, I just dont agree that they mean what the "holiness group says they mean.
I apologize if I seemed to misrepresent myself on sciptures.

It's like people (like me) who were raised in the RCC. We did certain customs because we were raised in those customs. There was no scripture for certain things we did like praying with rosary beads and to Mary and patron saints.
We did it because we were taught to without proof of scripture.

Exactly, thank you for your understanding.

Methinks he needs to turn his credentials and get a plumbers license or something like that....it would be more fitting.

your probably right, I just may end up doing just that.
