My daddy has Alzheimer's. The other day I went over to the house and on a pad was written, in big letters, the word DENTURES. I asked my brother about it. Turns out dad, who wears dentures, couldn't remember the name of them and was calling them his "plate." Both my brother and I are old enough to remember what a partial plate was, but I suspect young people don't.

Our late pastor-Dad would say that many today do not take the time to discipline their children. He said, "How many of our children even know what a "switch" is!
A little girl about 7 or 8 yrs old held up her hand! "Debbie, do you know what a switch is? "Yes" she replied knowingly! "It's what you turn the light on with"!
