I've had excellent deep fried Okra at Lambert's Cafe in Springfield, MO. It sounds like that isn't the norm though.

Somebody mentioned chitlins in another thread. THEY MAKE ME SICK TOO!!

How can anyone eat something that smells like stinky stuff when they're cooking!!
