This is only one of several problems that the 'long hair looks more feminine and gives more of a distinction between genders' arguments have. Black women just can't compete.
you are right I went to a black UC UPC church for a while when I was in college. They just don't really focus on the hair thing at all. My hair was cut when I started going and they still called me sister and did not treat me any different.
