What in the world is going on down there? It seems the DS is threatening to remove a pastor who openly admitting having a tv on his website. The DS is supposedly bringing an entourage to remove this man within a couple of weeks. He can do this because the church is affiliated.
In the meantime, the church board has voted to disaffiliate immediately. Now the full body is going to vote on it.
Couple of thoughts here.
1. It was silly for the man to go against the bylaws he agreed to follow.
2. It was silly for him to admit it on the web.
3. I can not believe they are going to prosecute, considering the current political climate.
4. The org is about to lose another church, and lots of money, over tv.
The whole thing is crazy. All over a little box that will soon be called a computer.

If the Texas DS and DB goes through with this, it's retarded.
Straightline and Coonskinner - explain how a certain DS can be called out for LYING to the whole organization about a Jewish Revival and yet STILL BE allowed to hold a license and even be VOTED IN AS PRESBYTER this past week?
And what is so sickening about this is this person is unrepentant, angry and refuses to admit ANY wrongdoing, even though Bishop Haney sent a committee from HQ and they caught this man in several lies.
I just don't see how HQ would allow this Texas DS go after this pastor for having a Television while allowing, in another district, this other pastor openly rebel and lie to the whole organization about a revival.
My former Pastor was on the TV committee. He's a HQ rep, owns a television in his residence. He tells his ministers, when they receive the AS, to sign it and include an objection to the television clause. His assistant pastor has a television, as do most of the others.
I'll be watching this . . . keep it updated. I'd like to know if they'll allow a pathological liar remain in office and hold license in one district, but not an open, honest pastor with a television in another district.
