You already know what the scripture says...but I'll humor you.
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Acts 2:4
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Acts 10
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Acts 19
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Acts 8:14-18
#1 - If people are filled with the Holy Ghost at repentance (I'm not talking about the indwelling, but the filling), then why did the apostles bother to lay hands on these people?
#2 - What did Simon see that convinced him the Samaritans were filled with the Holy Ghost, and caused him to offer money?

Re: Are you an Apostolic?
Regeneration, indwelling, baptism of the Holy Ghost, being born of the Spirit, sanctification, being filled with the Spirit...all the same work.
No biblical grounds for 2 or 3 distinct events or works of the Spirit.

Re: Are you an Apostolic?
The baptism of the Holy Ghost is Spiritual regeneration. It is the New Birth!

Well...meaning tongues? But that does not delineate "of which stripe?"

Did you prophesy when you received the Holy Ghost?

A great synopsis, above, of the relevant Scriptures. I stand corrected, @ "3 times," as clearly xenoglossy was in evidence--for a brief time, anyway--after the 3 miracle events. "They spoke in other tongues." Note, not "in unknown tongues."
So, how many experiences of xenoglossy have you been witness to? But more importantly, why do you think these experiences, given in
Scripture (for a type) provide evidence that a soul must now have an experience of glossololia to have received the Holy Spirit? What is the fruit of this?

Well, there are those of us that believe Jesus wasn't speaking of being filled or baptized in the Spirit in John 3:5. In Acts 1:5 Jesus mentioned being baptized with the Holy Ghost. Those 2 scriptures seem to speak of a different thing. I know that you and many others disagree, but I know many people who aren't filled, but I believe they walk in the Spirit. I know a number of Baptists.
