No one seemed to be able to say it just like you,
And you could always find the proper time to say it, too.
I’ve looked today, trying to find the meaning of this term,
An oxymoron that you handled and did it so very firm.
I never got to know you in person, nor to ever shake your hand;
But you were a master when the ocassion called for a firm stand.
The picture that you posted on AFF, was that really you?
A picture that caused me to think of you as being true blue.
We’ll miss you Cindy, it just simply won’t be the same,
But believe me, as your AFF friends, we won’t ever forget your name.
And if someone new should one day say “Good Grief” on a post,
We’ll be reminded, that was your term and you used it the most!
RIP Cindy! We love you and your memory!

You nailed it, Been Thinkin. For a long time to come, none of us will be able to use that phrase without thinking of Cindy. Imagine how it will be if a new person comes on here and one day, without knowing, posts those words. We are all going to feel stunned.

Re: Cindy needs prayers
I feel sad that Sweet Cindy is gone. Every time i put up one of the many prayer requests she would respond with a simple "praying" and i believe she did pray. She was a very gentle lady, never letting doctrinal issues/differences come in the way of Love. Though i miss her, i'm encouraged to know that one of us is kicking up gold dust on the streets of glory. In His Name!

Re: Cindy needs prayers
Like most others I am in shock. I drove back in late last night from vacation and then worked late today so just got on here.
Cindy was such an inspiration and voice of reason both on the forum and in the admin area. I had no idea she was ill. She certainly did not let the limitations and problems of COPD interfere with her activities here. She was a vibrant force who radiated God's grace and love.
I know she experienced great loss and sadness in her life but still maintained such a godly optimism and faith.
As others have said it is true AFF will never be the same. I will miss my friend Cindy. Although we never met in person she impacted my life in a way I will not forget.
I will be praying for her family and loved ones.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Cindy needs prayers
Cindy will be sorely missed by all who knew her, in rt and on here. She was a beautiful example of the love of Jesus and I know that her reward is great in our Father's House!
Her family is in my prayers and If any see this, know that Cindy was loved and touched many lives!
Rejoice in His presence Cindy! We will meet someday!

Can someone tell us about her family? Spouse.... children? Who was with her when she died? Kay B, what is your relationship with Cindy?
