RDP

You got too hot for them. They are no accustom to someone putting the Book on them and not relenting. I could have told you folks in the beginning you were no match for the scholarship of my friend. Just like Sabellus sent Newman packing for the hills years ago truth did the same again. Thank God for truth that makes darkness flee.

Scholarship is not the first word that comes to mind.

Having witnessed that whole debate, I certainly don't recall Newman being sent packing. I'm surprised you keep saying that, Bro. Epley.

Newman was never sent packing. The good Elder doesn't like to be confused by the facts. He's been called on it repeatedly, but continues to propogate the prevarication that Newman was chased out. I'm sure it's his perception, and in his mind, it's truth......just like most everything else he believes.

Haha, oh yeah, that's definitely it. We were no match for his unparallelled wisdom and understanding.

Ya, "debating" rdp, and trying to get him to understand the most simple concept reminds me of this scene:

Re: RDP

When someone has such a nasty way of presenting their side of a disagreement that I become ashamed that I agree with them on any point lest I appear to be in their camp... well... it's time for me to scoot... and so scoot I did. I find RDP disgusting, not so much for his beliefs, which he is perfectly entitiled to... but for his attitude... gross guy that I would not want to spend time talking with even if he had nice cows or anything else I was interested in... And I certainly do not want to hear him try to explain God.

Reminds me a lot of that concieted jerk that used to post here under 'thepastorscoach'.

Re: RDP

Yeah...his great scholarship consists of "if it agrees with my point it is wonderful, if it disagrees with my notions...well then that scholar was shoddy, wrong or ignorant. And I know b/c I have a book on Greek and took an online course. Who cares if those sources have Masters and PhDs. I'm right and they are just wrong wrong wrong because I am trying to make sure the Apostolic movement stays frozen in the 1950's".
