SADLY, these cases did not garner international or national media attention.
SADLY, these cases did galvanize the nation to demand legal action.
When the President said what he said, it was at the height of the media buzz and widespread protests across the country related to this case.
As the President of this country, many would argue that he had a duty to be a voice of reason in the middle of this tragedy-- and he was.
There was nothing that he said that was inappropriate.
