It kind of reminds me of a line from Mystery Science Theater, "Lady, here's 2 bucks. Because that's all your worth."

Doesn't it though? That kind of abusive garbage didn't drive me away from a church, but from church period, not only me but my daughter as well. My only regret is not decking the slob. Sad thing is, there are masny who think that is good preachin'

Re: "Pastor" throws hissy fit

Re: "Pastor" throws hissy fit
Update....
The young man this "pastor" called out as the sorriest member and not worth 15 cents has left that church. Good for him. In fact, everyone should stay home this Sunday and make the "pastor" preach to an empty room.
Also, the "pastor" is not going to apologize.

What this vid looks like is they are having a church board meeting. He makes the comment that he will take his wife and car and go down the road.
Probably preached against sin and one of the board members kids took offense, ran to deacon daddy and said.... "get rid of dat preacher!"
Most people on this forum would have got mad at Jesus for cleansing the temple if they were there that day!

Watch the video update....this was NOT a church board meeting. This is just how he acts; which makes me wonder why anyone would continue going there. He's being a bully, not a Pastor.

Why would the king say "I'm sorry"? People go to church for refuge,.
hope, forgiveness, love, compassion, a chance for something better.
You folks say God is all powerful.. too bad he doesn't have the power to bridle the bullies who speak in his name.

God will handle it. Its not the first time its happened, nor the last (see Jer 23). However neither this idiots "preaching" nor anyone elses unbelief, disobedience, or hypocricy excuses your own.
I'm not saying its not sickening, tiring, or excusable. I hate it, and I can see why people get put out with the "church". But the American church is quite distinct from Jesus. One can reject this poor excuse for Christianity in our country, and still seek to follow Jesus.
PS-are you the John Atkinson from Ct, that used to post on Good News Cafe forum?

I'm humiliating you because I love you! With friends like this, who needs enemies?
The pastor was ticked off because the young man was dosing off 40 minutes into his sermon. When people start dosing off in the middle of a sermon, it means that you're boring or have preached too long!
