I guess I'm just astounded that people that call each other stupid, moron, etc. (which I would find VERY insulting personally) are offended by such a benign term... and I wonder if it's not just a tiny bit of that Apostolic pretentious thing we've got goin' on.

Matlock used that word in the courtroom quite often!!! LOL!

I have seen worse words used here without any rebuke or mention. People have mentioned being ****** off, telling someone else what they posted was BS (using those letters, not the words themselves), etc. But Jacka$$ can't be used. LOL!

I'm sure the large percentage of members thought that he was "out of line" or "in one of his moods". But I'd surmise that he has built a repoir with his flock, and they accept the whole package of his ministry. There are not many preachers I'd take that public rebuke from, if any. But we don't know the whole history and context. It should not of been recorded IMO.
God help this congregation and Pastor.
I personally like "hard" preaching. Someones anger, passion or so called bad spirit usually dont bother me. I'm a man and can take care of myself.
The definition of effeminate is "soft".
I'm not defending or condemning... just throwing my 2 cents in.

We're all impressed. So, does one have to like being roughly disciplined in public to be a man, or is that some sort of psychological disorder? Just curious. I have enough respect for my family that if he stood up and said things like that about my wife or kids in a public setting, he'd see me up in his face about it. I'm tough that way.

Re: "Pastor" throws hissy fit
The fact that he says "I'm important. I'm somebody" reveals this was more about him personally and not about his office as pastor.
Sounds like a thug saying "you dissin me? Better step off fore I break you"

- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
