Re: Crazy Stuff from Reckart followers and their l

I said this in post 40 of this thread.
Ok Reckert is really off on some things. In my opinion he is no worse and perhaps if he stops his anti YHWH crusade would be a more useful teacher than many Apostolics. At least he stands for something.
He has done a great job in exposing the preterists. I dont see anyone on here doing that mostly they are accepted if not down right praised. He exposes the pre trib error also.
Years ago he came in my Paltalk room a few times. He said he was with me until I began to speak on the "standards". Then he said I lost him.
Anyway Im just saying why is HE the only one who can be hated and ridiculed on this Forum? Everyday I see much false doctrine posted here and many people teach falsely on many things. So tho I do not follow Reckert and would not encourage anyone else to I cant say hes worse than many right here when it comes to teaching error.
One fellow on the Forum here has mocked YHWH and Yeshua many times and holds to the same standards as Reckert does and he is affectionately called "Elder" by many here. Hmmmm
|
If I read correctly between the lines I would guess that besides other foundational truth that Reckert teaches he also believes in the doctrine of the resurrection of the dead as opposed to immortal soul error to his credit.
Someone correct me if Im wrong about that. I think he winds up destroying peoples confidence in the scriptures and that is a serious sin.
And to ridicule the LORD.....YHWH is very, very, scary.

Maybe that's why he is getting so many friends requests on Facebook?

Re: Crazy Stuff from Reckart followers and their l
I was once led to believe that Reckart believes in soul sleep and the annihilation of the wicked. I have been looking at his studies tonight and find nothing about dead saints being alive in Heaven.
He always (in studies I looked at) points toward the dead being raised at the post trib rapture. Neither do I see any teaching about sinners being tormented for trillions of years in Hell. This seems like sound doctrine if indeed I am seeing his writings accurately.

So are you saying that you were once led to believe that Brother Reckart didn't believe in sound doctrine concerning the state of the dead, but now since you have read his material further you believe his teachings are sound concerning the issues of judgement after death?

A cult leader does not necessarily has to have every doctrine wrong or even any doctrine wrong.
A cult leader is one who isolates his people and that only he has the true knowledge, he is the fountain of all wisdom, he is God's chosen to impart the truth. A cult leader feels entitled to dismiss or even send to hell anyone who disagrees with him.

No Im saying that what I was once led to believe that he taught the truth about these foundation issues seems to be vindicated by his writings. At least from what I am seeing in the studies I looked at.
Since you know him you should be able to tell me plainly. After all you told me you believed those same things the first time I met you on Paltalk.
So does he or does he not?

Really? One is not a cult leader if he isolates his Church from sin and false doctrine IMO. Neither does the fact he thinks he has the full truth. Any Biblical minister would be like this.
The Apostles believed everyone who did not believe as they did were lost.
Its far more likely they judged men by their doctrine first then by their manner of life.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Re: Crazy Stuff from Reckart followers and their l
According to that list, I guess all of God's prophets, preachers, and apostles were cult leader's, headed by Jesus himself, being the chief leader...
