That's why Canadians, including government officials, come here for their serious healthcare needs, because the waiting lists to see specialists in Canada have backlogs from 6 months to two years.
Secondly, Canada has a fraction of our population. You can't have a one size fits system for 300 million people.
Finally, the Federal government has tied the States' hands from trying programs that would save money.
